TURN - New AMC Series on The Culper Spy Ring
TURN ON AMC |
Washington's Spies |
I have always found the Culper Spy ring's story fascinating. I'm so happy that it has its own series on TV now. I can't wait to watch it. I have no doubt that it will be different from my books because the first character I saw listed was Abraham Woodhull. There is a major difference between Winds of Betrayal and Washington's Spies. My story begins in Williamsburg, traveling into New York then into Setauket. Turn is all about the Culper Spies or at least Rose's take on the ring.
But...there is a connection, a strong one. I'm certain the book and series will show the dangers spies faced during this time, the constant threat of exposure and the consequences of being caught. Life was different back in 1776. It will interesting to see how it is portrayed in TURN.
THE HEAVENS SHALL FALL is coming out in May. In the Winds of Betrayal Series, this is climax of what the Culper Spy ring accomplished in real life. My characters and storyline converge with the ultimate betrayal of Benedict Arnold.
COMING MAY, 2014 |
If you haven't started Winds of Betrayal, try the boxed set. This is not a stand alone series! You will be lost if you don't follow in order.
Watch TURN and let me know what you think. I'm keeping my fingers crossed its going to be a good series!
Here's my review of the first episode if you want to check out. analyzethistv.blogspot.com
